Let's Visit Betawi and Jakarta Exhibition at Setu Babakan

The Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village Area Management Unit (UPK PBB) is holding a Temporary Exhibition with theme Betawi and Jakarta in the Betawi Museum Showroom, 3rd floor, Setu Babakan, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta starting from August 18-31, 2023.

The exhibition concept we designed is contemporary

Setu Babakan UPK PBB Manager who also serves Betawi Museum Curator, Safrina Fauziah said the exhibition held in commemoration of Indonesia's Independence Day was aimed at introducing Betawi culture and figures to the wider community.

"The exhibition concept we designed is contemporary, thus it can attract the attention of the young generation to Betawi history," she expressed, Wednesday (8/23).

She explained the exhibition held from 9 AM to 3 PM presented Betawi history and culture such as Betawi Dalam Sejarah (Betawi in History), Betawi Semula, Renungan Diri (Self Reflection), Betawi Kesohor, and Kuliner Khas Betawi (Betawi Culinary).

In this exhibition, his party also introduced Betawi figures who had played an important role in Indonesian independence through paintings.

"Hopefully this exhibition can be an attraction for people who want to know more about Betawi culture from a different perspective," he hoped.
