JakLingko Indonesia Develops Payment System Integration to West Java

PT JakLingko Indonesia and PT Jasa Sarana are collaborating to develop the integration of payment systems and ticketing solutions to improve services on public transportation in West Java.

The collaboration itself was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by PT JakLingko Indonesia and PT Jasa Sarana with four other partners namely, PT Transjakarta, Mobil Anak Bangsa, Energi Makmur Buana (Indika Energy), and GoTo (Gojek Tokopedia).
PT JakLingko Indonesia President Director, Mega Tarigan said more than 700,000 users have downloaded the JakLingko Indonesia application and it is actively used by users of MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, Transjakarta, Indonesian Commuter Train (KCI), and Grab in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek).

"Through this collaboration, Bandung Raya is officially the first city outside Greater Jakarta that plans to implement the JakLingko integration system," she explained, Monday (8/28).
She went on to say that the opportunities for cooperation in implementing the JakLingko Indonesia payment integration system are very open to be applied in other cities, apart from Greater Jakarta.
As a pioneer in payment system integrators in public transportation, PT JakLingko Indonesia is committed to providing easy transactions for buying tickets through the application, including travel recommendations for its users.
"This is in line with the idea of smart mobility, thus passenger trip is more seamless," she added.
As for the information, PT JakLingko Indonesia is a joint venture of four transportation entities namely PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), PT TransJakarta, and PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jabodetabek (MITJ).
They are engaged in the transportation and tariff intermodal payment system through the Jakarta Public Transportation Payment Integration Electronification (EIPTJ) method and development in Jabodetabek with potential work areas throughout Indonesia.
As the owner and developer of the application and JakLingko Transportation Card which is currently used to make payments for multi-modal travel tickets from MRT Jakarta, Transjakarta, LRT Jakarta, and Commuterline Trains, as well as implementing Integration Tariffs and shortly, they will implement Account Based Ticketing (ABT) to complete its services.
