Junaedi Gears to Develop Business District in Seribu Islands

Seribu Islands Regent, Junaedi stated that he would create a Fish Auction Place (TPI) in a bid to develop his area into an economic and business area.

He expressed this statement when he attended the Small Island Research and Development (SIRaD) Workshop initiated by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) together with the Indonesian Institute of Technology (ITI) at the Mercure Convention Center, Ancol, North Jakarta, Wednesday (8/30).

This activity, which aims to increase the per capita income of Seribu Islands community, was carried out from Tuesday (8/29) to Friday (8/31) tomorrow.

"We will build the same TPI development as in Muara Angke to revive business in Seribu Islands. We will design its construction on Tidung Kecil Island," he expressed.

Besides peoviding more employment opportunities, the TPI construction could also attract tourist visits. Moreover, tourist could reach the location using small boats owned by locals.

Aside that, he thanked the residents who had independently built tourist spots in Seribu Islands.

"From a tourism perspective, Pari Island is quite good, as there is a virgin sand beach, the visitors are extraordinary," he explained.

His party will continue to develop and create economic and business areas that have not yet been seen in Seribu Islands, as well as improve human resource skills.

"With the opening of the TAPI area, we can employ locals. Later, housing will be created for fishermen and residents," he concluded.
