Six Service Cars for Family Planning Launched

The city administration launched 6 service cars for family planning program, Wednesday (3/18). Those service cars will serve Jakarta residents for getting the program, especially in densely populated areas.

"It's very important to reach out to people in densely populated areas, flats, markets, and border areas," expressed Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat, after he launched the cars in Cakung Sub-District Office, East Jakarta, Wednesday (3/18). 

Djarot stated people should apply on the program. If not, the population in the city will exploding.

South Jakarta Residents Enthusiastic Getting Free Healthcare Services

The current number of residents is 9,6 million people. "The program has existed since 1970 and it was a reference for the other countries in Asia and Africa," he said.

Head of Jakarta Family Planning and Women and Community Empowerment Body (BPMPKB), Dien Ernawati added the six service cars are equipped with supporting facilities, ranging from IUD installation, implants, vasectomy and minor surgery.

"The cars operate from 9 AM-3 PM on weekday, to reach out to people in densely population areas," she finished.
