Jakarta KONI to Hold Healthy Walk This Weekend

The Jakarta KONI is about to hold a Healthy Walk on Sunday, (9/10) starting at 6 AM.
The aim is to provide information to the public
It will cover a distance of around six kilometers on a route from Jalan Merdeka Selatan (in front of Jakarta City Hall) to Bundarain HI and back to City Hall.

"The aim is to provide information to the public that in exactly one year we will take part in the biggest sporting event in this country," he explained.
Healthy Walk Committee Vice Chairman, Jamran explained his party had a target to be the best and again become the General Champion in the PON XXI event in Aceh and North Sumatra. It is also in line with the expectations of the Regional Government, DPRD, and the people of Jakarta.
"Meanwhile, Jakarta KONI also hopes that with this activity, the community can play an active role in providing support to all athletes," he explained.
His party also wanted to spread the enthusiasm of the athletes and the entire sports support system through the motto (tag line) JAKARTA DATANG, JAKARTA WIN.
"This event will be attended by approximately 2,200 people, consisting of Jakarta Pelatda athletes from all sports, including coaches, and assistant coaches who will also be accompanied by Jakarta Provincial Sports Managers," he uttered.
Healthy Walk Committee Secretary, Herman Sukmadipura added that it would also involve the Jakarta contingent of athletes totaling 400 people who had just taken part in the 16th National Student Sports Week (POPNAS) held in Palembang City, South Sumatra.
"In POPNAS XVI 2023, the Jakarta contingent became the General Champion with medals of 84 gold, 49 silver, and 47 bronze medals," he explained.
He added this upcoming activity received full support from the Jakarta Government through the Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency, as well as Perumda Air Minum Jaya (PAM Jaya) and PT Bank DKI.
"As planned, the Acting Governor and Jakarta DPRD Chairman, as well as Forkopimda members will attend to release the runners," he stated.
