Towards PON XXI, KONI Inaugurates Tagline Jakarta Datang, Jakarta Menang

The Jakarta Branch Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) inaugurated the tagline for the XXI PON 2024 in Aceh - North Sumatra, "Jakarta Datang, Jakarta Menang" (Jakarta Comes, Jakarta Wins). This tagline is the result of a contest that was held in February 2023.

In setting this tagline, we involve experts, coaches and sports figures

Jakarta KONI Chairman, Hidayat Humaid stated, of all the participants who participated in this event, his party set the six best finalists. Of the six best, 'Jakarta Datang, Jakarta Menang' was set as the tagline in the upcoming PON XXI,

"In setting this tagline, we involve experts, coaches and sports figures in Jakarta to provide input," he expressed, Wednesday (5/3).

KONI Commits to Improving Athletes' Achievement and Welfare

According to him, the tagline that was set illustrated the seriousness and determination of the Jakarta contingent to become the overall champion at the biggest sporting event in Indonesia.

Regarding athletes' readiness for this event, he stressed that almost all sports branches have held regional training (Pelatda) which have been held since 2022. Some of them involve foreign trainers and conduct overseas training programs.

Even, his team has scheduled training camp activities for all sports to encourage athletes to concentrate more and focus on improving their abilities through programmed training.

"This training camp is an integrated training and the location chosen by each sport is close to the training ground. We are also planning domestic and foreign try outs," he stated.
