Untung Jawa Island Tourism Village, South Seribu Islands received a comparative study from the Mimika Regency administration, Central Papua. There were about 28 representatives from Kokonao Village and Aparuka Village, West Mimika.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Sidartawan revealed the visit was in the context of exchanging ideas between tourist villages in the two regions, especially in the field of tourism management.

"We share information on the progress and support of the tourism sector which can attract tourists to come to Seribu Islands," he expressed, Friday (9/15).

He hoped that it could push tourist visits to the Seribu Islands, especially the Untung Jawa Island Tourism Village.

"Also have a positive impact on the Mimika area,"

Mimika Barat District Head, Christian Warinussy appreciated and was grateful for the warm welcome from the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village.

During the visit, his party received various information and knowledge related to tourism management. Even, his group was also invited to tour tourist attractions on Untung Jawa Island.

"I'm very amazed by the beauty of the Seribu Islands. Surely, the comparative study results can be applied in our region," he admitted.

Untung Jawa Island Puja Berhias Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) Chairman, Rusli explained the group was invited to see all the potential that exists on the island, starting from entrepreneurship, tourist attractions, and infrastructure.

"We show our beaches such as Sakura Beach and Arsa Beach, then mangrove plants," he stated.
