The East Jakarta Parks and City Forest (Tamhut) Sub-agency is building a rain garden in the Mandor Hasan Taman Maju Bersama (TMB) area, Ceger Urban Village, Cipayung.
This rain garden measures 5x3 square meters with a depth of 1.5 meters
East Jakarta Tamhut Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin said the rain garden was being made to accommodate rainwater and avoid overflowing waters onto streets or channels, as well as increasing the availability of groundwater.
He added the work involved 20 personnel from the Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency for soil excavation.
