Around 10 workers from the Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency are carrying out maintenance of the infiltration well's main manhole cover located at Arsa Park, RT 01/01, Untung Jawa Island.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head Hendri mentioned the maintenance was carried out by digging a six-inch water pipe along 7 meters, installing and connecting it with the manhole cover to the water disposal on Arsa Park Beach.

"It is done to drain water into the sea in case of overflow in the well," he explained, Tuesday (3/29).
According to him, the manhole cover serves to collect rainwater and drain it to the beach if the bak control (controlled drainage) is full.
"We use massive cubes to cover and protect the pipe from being stepped on by people or waves," he said.
