Maritime Museum Holds Photo Competition 2023, Don't Miss It!

The Jakarta Maritime Museum Management Unit is holding a photography competition entitled 'Maritime Museum Photo Competition 2023'. This competition is open to the public and interested parties can register their work no later than November 10.

Jakarta Maritime Museum Technical Unit Head, Mis Ari said that the photos in the competition were related to rivers, lakes, seas, ports, marine tourism villages, fishing villages, fishing or sea-related traditions, river traditions, lake traditions, water-related rituals, lighthouses, and shipbuilding.

Then the cleanliness of waters, water disaster phenomena, maritime museums, floating markets, and other activities related to waters in urban, rural and coastal areas.

"It's free and open to the public. Participants just register and upload their work via the link https://bit.ly/LombaFotoBahari," he expressed, Friday (9/29).

According to him, taking photos could be done using a cellphone or DSLR camera. Participants are also required to follow the Instagram accounts @indonesiahiddenheritage and @museumkebaharianjkt.

The work submitted by participants is only permitted to use simple bright and contrast editing. Then, the photos uploaded must not contain elements of SARA.

Each participant has the right to send one photo including the title, location and brief narrative. Photos uploaded must be works from 2023 and must be a maximum of 10 mega bytes in jpg format.

The winner will get a cash prize of more than Rp 13 million. Aside that, they will also be given trophies, certificates, and the opportunity to take part in the photo exhibition being held.

"The 50 best works have the opportunity to be displayed in a photo exhibition at the Maritime Museum," he stated.
