2,000 Mangroves Planted on Coast of Tidung Plaza Beach

The Seribu Islands Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), initiated the planting of 2,000 mangrove trees on the coast of the Tidung Plaza area, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands. It was aimed at commemorating PMI's 78th anniversary which fell on September 26.
This planting involves 50 participants
Seribu Islands Branch PMI Chairman, Fahrullah said the mangrove planting involved urban village apparatuses, police, Satpol PP, Transportation Agency, Gulkarmat, Center for Constitutional and Regional Policy Studies (PK3D), Environment Agency, KPKP Sub-agency, SDA Sub-agency, PPSU, FKDM, Pokdarwis, to students of SMKN 61 Jakarta.
"This planting involves 50 participants. We invite all agencies to plant mangrove trees, to keep the air quality clean and good in the Tidung Island area," he expressed, Sunday (10/1).

"Our activities are not only humanitarian actions, but also protecting the earth for the welfare of others," he asserted.
South Seribu Islands Sector Police Task Force Unit Chief, Aipda Hendra Kristianda added besides protecting nature, it also showed permanent synergy between agencies on Tidung Island.
"Hopefully it will be useful for us and that Tidung Island's beaches will always be clean," he concluded.
