Parekraf Agency Introduces Jakarta Transportation Tourism Destination

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Parekraf), held a Jakarta Transportation Tour. The activity attended by 46 participants, was in support of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry's Proud to Travel in Indonesia program.

Domestic Tourism Marketing Sub-Group Chairman, Prihatin Permanik said it is a continuation of efforts to introduce urban tourism in Jakarta. Previously, his party had held similar activities in Cikini, Pasar Baru, and Cipete areas.
"We're encouraging urban tourism. When you come to Jakarta, you don't have to go to Ancol, Ragunan, or Taman Mini, but walk on Jalan Sudirman and enjoy the good pedestrian walkway, where the Phinisi Bridge has become a tourist attraction in itself," she expressed, Sunday (10/29).

Afterward, participants were also invited to visit M Blok Space, Martha Christina Tiahahu Literacy Park, Kota Tua area, and Aracaki herbal medicine testing. They also visited the PIK area at the closing of the walk-in tour series.
"Besides introducing transportation tourism, it also supports the campaign to use public transportation to reduce vehicle exhaust emissions pollution," she stressed.
Those participants were selected from a selection process via the Parekraf Agency's Instagram social media account. Besides being able to answer questions correctly, they also considered the engagement of their social media accounts.
She admitted it is also an effective promotional event. After taking part in the tour, they were required to post activities and tag the Jakarta Parekraf's social media account.
"We're optimistic that it will be an effective promotional pattern. In the future, we'll involve the ambassador's wife in similar activities to promote Jakarta to their respective countries," she stated.
