PT JIP - Kemenko Polhukam Cooperates in the Field of Digital Literacy and Education

PT Jakarta Infrastruktur Propertindo (JIP) and the Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Ministry (Kemenko Polhukam), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding information services and digital literacy education to the public through the use of digital-based outdoor public broadcasting.

The signing above marked a joint commitment to optimizing JIP's digital signage services to provide Public Service Announcement (PSA) broadcasts intending to increase public awareness about issues in the fields of politics, law and security.

TNI Lt. Gen, Teguh Pudjo Rumekso said the collaboration between the Kemenko Polhukam and JIP marked the beginning of strategic cooperation in the fields of political, legal and security literacy and education.

"Of course, the ministry appreciates the attention and synergy of PT JIP, thus the MoU signing can be achieved to optimize digital literacy and develop telecommunications infrastructure to welcome digital transformation in Indonesia," he expressed, Thursday (11/9).

PT JIP Acting President Director, Ivan C Permana revealed one of JIP's core businesses is engaged in digital business services with more than 500 Out of Home (OOH) media asset points spread across Mega LED Mercure, MRT Pillars, and LED Kualanamu, and various strategic locations in Jakarta.

In more detail, the main aim of this collaboration is to provide the public with a better understanding of government policies and programs relating to politics, law and security in Indonesia.

"This signing is an important milestone in advancing joint initiatives which include holding literacy and educational events, as well as hearings regarding regulations on Integrated Utility Network Facilities and Telecommunication Networks in Jakarta and Indonesia," he added.

JIP Acting Main Commissaries, Nanang Santoso explained this initiative is aimed at ensuring a strong and adequate information infrastructure and is very crucial in broadcasting information.

On the other hand, with improved communication networks and wider internet access, as well as updated digital services, both parties were committed to optimizing an efficient platform for the dissemination of public information through the utilization of more than 500 Out of Home (OOH) media assets.

"This signing is also part of the ongoing efforts of JIP and the Kemenko Polhukam to support and increase information transparency and public involvement in important issues affecting the country," he stated.

He hoped that both could play an active role in increasing public awareness by providing information and positive contributions that are beneficial to Indonesian people, especially in terms of educational broadcasting in the fields of politics, law and security.

"This collaboration will bring significant progress in strengthening the foundations of public information literacy and ensuring that information supporting infrastructure in Indonesia receives optimal service," he closed.

As for the information, the MoU was signed at the Kemenko Polhukam Building, Jalan Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (11/8) and was attended by Kemenko Polhukam Secretary and TNI Let. Gen Teguh Pudjo Rumekso, accompanied by TNI Marshal, Arif Mustofa, as well as Echelon 1 and 2 within the Kemenko Polhukam.

It was also attended by JIP sides, namely Acting Main Commissaries Nanang Santoso, Acting President Director Ivan C Permana, Finance and Support Director Santosa, as well as ranks of JIP Management.
