ASN Must Maintain Neutrality Ahead of Election 2024

The Indonesian people will use their rights to elect the President and Vice President of Indonesia, as well as members of the Legislative on February 14, 2024. This moment is very important for the sustainability of national development.

State Civil Service Commission (KASN) Chairman, Agus Pramusinto expressed the dynamics of the upcoming election 2024 would brighten up various political interests related to the contestation.

According to him, KASN as an independent monitoring institution hoped that the various violations in the bureaucratic environment and ASN ministries/institutions/regions could be minimized. It is noted that there are 1,678 1,678 violations of ASN neutrality in the 2020 to 2022 period.

"Neutrality is important. As we know, the upcoming election procession is very vulnerable to violations of neutrality," he expressed, Thursday (11/16).

Based on the data of KASN, there was a violation of neutrality with the motive of utilizing bureaucratic resources, whether in the form of program support, facilities, and infrastructure, as well as activities that favored certain candidates.

Being faced with these conditions, KASN continues to participate in carrying out neutrality monitoring duties with a preventative approach, protecting ASN, and encouraging the activation of internal supervision for each Government Agency.

The steps taken by KASN included launching the slogan 'ASN Pilih Netral' (ASN choose neutral) in the form of a logo, a poster, and a twibbon which can be downloaded from the link bit.ly/ASNpilihNETRAL. He urged, the slogan to be uploaded jointly by all ASNs on their respective social media accounts.

Hopefully, it could be a movement and part of ASN's commitment to neutrality and integrity which needs to be continuously reminded and maintained together.

"Logo, poster, and twibbon read 'ASN Pilih Netral' are not just symbols, but are a real commitment not to be involved in political activities with various interests. Stop violating neutrality and hopefully, they will become more professional and trusted by the wider community," he stressed.
