East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar and his ranks monitored the collapsed sheet pile of the Sunter River in RW 10 Cipinang Urban Village, Pulogadung, Tuesday (10/3).

On that occasion, he was also taking his time to check out the inspection road on the side of the Sunter River and had a dialogue with locals.

According to the local report, the sheet pile under the authority of the Ciliwung Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) has been collapsing since seven years ago.

Therefore , his party would immediately write to BBWSCC for repairs considering the location was near residential areas.

"We'll coordinate with them soon, as the Sunter River is under central authority. Hopefully, the repair can be realized soon," he stressed.

RW 010 Chairman, Cipinang Urban Village, Untung Mulyadi explained this incident had caused part of the road to collapse.

His side and residents had independently repaired the collapsed road, but the results were unoptimal.

"We hope that it can be repaired soon considering there are many residential areas here," he closed
