Anwar Monitors Providing Nutritious Food to Stunted Toddlers

Let's fight stunting together

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar directly monitored the provision of nutritious food to two stunted toddlers in the RT 05/012 area, Pisangan Baru Urban Village, Matraman, Friday (9/15).

According to him, this nutritional food would be provided regularly for three months. Because of that, he asked the sub-district and urban village heads to become foster parents for the stunted toddlers, in collaboration with entrepreneurs or CSR.

"Make sure that for three months your nutritional intake is met regularly every day," he asserted.

He explained that if the weight and height of the two stunted toddlers increased after three months, it meant the program was working well. If not, it would be necessary to be medically examined to find out whether there are comorbidities in these two toddlers.

"Let's fight stunting together," he stressed.

One mother of a stunted toddler admitted that she was very happy with the nutritious food assistance provided by the mayor.

She admitted her toddler, whose initials are R, is actually healthy because he/she is active every day and moves a lot. But his/her body growth is imperfect, not like other toddlers.

"Every month we take our toddler to the nutrition post. Hopefully, there will be changes with the assistance of nutritious food from the government," she stated.
