Synergizing with Forkopimda, Heru Ensures Christmas Services Run Smoothly

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono inspected the implementation of Christmas services in several churches in Jakarta on Sunday (12/24).

Once again, we're here with great warmth

Together with the Jakarta Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), the Acting Governor ensured that Christmas services could run smoothly without any obstacles.

On that occasion, they visited several churches by riding the Transjakarta electric bus. The churches visited were namely Cathedral, Jakarta Gunung Sahari, and GPIB Immanuel.

The Acting Governor also accompanied the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Muhadjir Effendy and National Police Chief, Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who also inspected the implementation of the Christmas service.

"We, together with all levels of the Jakarta Provincial Government and representatives from Forkopimda, wish you a Merry Christmas and happy worship this afternoon," he expressed, when he visited the Cathedral Church, as quoted by Jakarta Government's press release.

He hoped that Christmas celebrations in Jakarta could be full of warmth, peace and joy, including maintaining health.

"Once again, we're here with great warmth and we pray that all of you can worship well and smoothly. We also ask you to maintain your health. Once again, our beloved Father, thank you for being well received here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year," he stressed.

Jakarta Archbishop, Father Cardinal Ignatius Suharyo warmly welcomed the arrival of Acting Governor along with the ranks of Forkopimda. He also expressed his gratitude for the support of Forkopimda which has maintained and ensured that the Christmas service can run smoothly.

"On behalf of the people at the Cathedral Church, we would like to express our sincere thanks for the presence of ladies and gentlemen here. The presence of the Acting Governor and the ranks of the Jakarta Government, religious leaders, and the community, will definitely encourage our brothers and sisters who are here We'll continue to be good residents of Jakarta. Happy New Year," he stated.
