Rusunawa Residents are Happy to Get Extension of Rental Payment Relaxation

Residents of the low-cost apartment (Rusunawa) in Jakarta are happy with the extension of the rental payment relaxation policy until June 2024.

Alhamdulillah (Thank God), we're very grateful for this relaxation

One of Cakung Barat Rusunawa residents in East Jakarta, Randy Iva Ramadhan admitted he was very happy and appreciated the executive and legislative branches for implementing the rental payment relaxation policy.

"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), we're very grateful for this relaxation because we are still feeling the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. I would like to convey my thanks to the Jakarta DPRD, especially the Acting Governor and Commission D Chief, Mrs. Hajah Ida Mahmudah," he expressed, Thursday (12/28).

He explained the policy of relaxing rental payments also means that Rusunawa residents can celebrate Christmas this year and Idul Fitr next year with a calmer feeling.

"Rp 550,000 still means a lot to us. Once again, we would like to convey our appreciation and thanks for caring about us little people," he explained.

Then Rusunawa Marunda resident, Hendra, also expressed his joy. He was very grateful for the policy of relaxing rent payments.

"Through this relaxation policy, we'll only be subject to payment of levies or rent in July 2024," he explained.

He explained the COVID-19 pandemic had a tremendous economic impact on his family's life.

"I used to have a business and was well off. But, because of the pandemic, my business fell and I had to live in Rusunawa," he explained.

He added the policy of relaxing rental payments for Rusunawa was welcomed with enthusiasm and joy. This policy has had a big impact on Rusunawa residents who are also in the process of recovering after the pandemic.

"My thanks and appreciation to the Acting Governor and his staff, the DPRD leaders, Jakarta DPRD Commission D Chief, and Mrs. Ida Mahmudah. May Allah reward you with goodness in this world and the hereafter," he stated.
