This greening action on slum, barren, and dirty empty lands is the realization of implementing a superior area planning program during 2023.
East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar expressed that land arrangement is part of the priority program. Hence, every month, his party would instruct the urban village heads to create a superior program in slum areas to make them clean, healthy, and green.

He hoped that residents could support it by caring for and keeping the environment clean and healthy.
East Jakarta City Planning and Environment Sub-Group Section Head, Yogi Metropeni explained that during 2023, there were 260 regional planning locations spread across 65 sub-districts. Each sub-district carried out the arrangement in stages over four quarters.
"This is focused on land belonging to the Jakarta Provincial Government, which is slum and neglected. They will be arranged to become green areas," he said.
Of 27,243 square meters of land being arranged was spread across 10 sub-districts. The details were in the Cakung Sub-district with seven urban villages covering an area of 1,950 square meters.
Then Cipayung Sub-district with eight urban villages covering an area of 3,609.5 square meters, Ciracas Sub-district with five urban villages covering an area of 1,125 square meters.
Duren Sawit Sub-district with seven urban villages covering an area of 3,373 square meters, Jatinegara Sub-district with eight urban villages covering an area of 5,050 square meters, Kramat Jati Sub-district with seven urban villages covering an area of 3,613 square meters, Makasar Sub-district with five urban villages covering an area of 4,618 square meters.
Also Matraman Sub-district with six urban villages covering an area of 1,150 square meters, Pasar Rebo Sub-district with five urban villages covering an area of 890 square meters, and Pulogadung Sub-district with seven urban villages covering an area of 1,865 square meters.
