Central Jakarta Administration Inspects Chili Planting Land in Sudirman Park

Central Jakarta administration staff, inspected the social and public facilities land at Sudirman Park Apartment, Karet Tengsin Urban Village, Tanah Abang, which will be used as one of the locations for simultaneous chili planting, January 19, Wednesday (1/10).
The land area that can be utilized is around 6,000 square meters
The inspection was led by Central Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting and followed by several related OPDs, such as Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Sub-agency and Parks and City Forest Sub-agenxy.
According to Bakwan Ferizan Ginting, Assistant of Central Jakarta Economy and Development, the visit was aimed at checking the conditions and carry out mapping of the land area in the Sudirman Park Apartment area.

Of this land area, part would be used for urban farming by planting vegetables such as celery and lettuce, as well as fruit such as oranges, melons, avocados, and grapes. Aside that, a nutrition pool would also be built.
"We maximize chili planting and nutritional pools to strengthen food security," he asserted.
Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti added his party would prepare the land and inspect the infrastructure for planting.
"Apart from Sudirman Park, there are several other locations prepared, such as the Rooftop of the Mayor's Office and the CKTRP Agency. But, the plan is to be launched by the Mayor at Sudirman Park," he stated.
