Illegal Parking, 30 Vehicles in Palmerah Netted

Due to illegal parking, some 30 motorcycles and cars were netted on Jalan Kota Bambu Selatan, Kota Bambu Selatan Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-district, West Jakarta, Thursday (1/11).

Palmerah Sub-district Transportation Executing Unit Head, Ahmad Afriyanto who led the operation stated the illegal parking operation is a routine agenda to create an orderly area free from illegal parking.

Vehicles caught in the operation consisted of 26 motorcycles whose valves were removed and four cars were towed.

According to him, it is done to follow up on resident's request, as because there were many vehicles parked illegally on Jalan Kota Bambu Selatan, causing traffic jams.

"Hopefully, our action can give a detterent effect to them," he stated.

The operation against illegal parking received appreciation from Pangestu (28), a local resident positively.

"We appreciate them for decisive action," he closed.
