Illegal Parking, 1,090 Vehicles in North Jakarta Towed

The North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency had noted that as many as 1,090 drivers have been netted due to illegal parking from January to July 2023.

It is a routine action to minimize illegal parking in North Jakarta

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Head, Hendriko said the 1,090 drivers were towed after being caught parking carelessly on the sidewalk and roadside.

Those drivers were spotted on Jalan Pegangsaan Dua and Jalan Boulevar Artha Gading Kelapa Gading Sub-district, Jalan Tipar Cakung and Sungai Landak Cilincing Sub-district, as well as Jalan Kramat Jaya and Lorong 104 Koja Sub-district.

"This illegal action surely causes traffic jams and disturbs road users," he asserted, Tuesday (8/8).

He added the most number of towed offenders was in March (224 vehicles), July there (194 vehicles), and April  (87 vehicles).

"It is a routine action to minimize illegal parking in North Jakarta," he stated.
