The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour in Jakarta area today.

"Be aware of rain accompanied by lightning in South Jakarta in the late afternoon," stated BMKG's official site, Monday (1/15).
In the morning, sunny and cloudy are expected in all areas of Jakarta.
Rain to Pour in East, West, and South Jakarta TodayIn the afternoon, light rain is expected in South Jakarta, and East Jakarta; and sunny cloudy in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and Seribu Islands.
At night, all areas will be sunny cloudy.
Entering dawn, cloudy is estimated to cover skies of five cities in Jakarta and Seribu Islands.
Today's temperature is between 24-30 degrees Celsius with humidity reaching 75-100 percent.
