The Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency (Dukcapil) arranges residents' domiciles. It was recorded that 243,100 people had moved their residence identity according to their actual place of residence or domicile throughout 2023.
It is currently seen that some residents are still coming to Jakarta
Jakarta Dukcapil Agency Head, Budi Awaluddin said Jakarta is still the largest population migration center nationally.
According to him, the population movement occurred because Jakarta had complete health, education, transportation, housing, and entertainment facilities, better social security, greater employment opportunities and high life expectancy.

Based on the data collected, the number of residents who left Jakarta was 243,160. As for the population of new immigrants from outside Jakarta reached 136,200 throughout 2023.
