Residents Appreciate Free Rabies Vaccination in Papanggo Urban Village

The North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency has noted that as many as 117 animals have been vaccinated against rabies from January 22 to 25, 2024. It is held in RW 01 and 03, Papanggo Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district.

North Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto said the anti rabies vaccination held carried out door to door is the first time using the City Budget (APBD) 2024.
"This is free and will be sustainable in 31 urban village areas in North Jakarta," he expressed, Monday (1/22).

"Today's vaccination and animal health services take place at the RW 01 and 03 Secretariat offices," he explained.
The same service would be held on Tuesday (1/23) at RW 05 and 07 Secretariat Office; RW 04 and 09 Secretariat Office on Wednesday (1/24); and at RW 12 and 13 Secretariat Office on Thursday (1/25).
"Please residents take advantage by coming to bring their pets for to the service location according to the schedule," he added.
One of residents in RT 011/03, Papanggo Urban Village, Supriyadi (46), admitted it was greatly helped by the free vaccination door-to-door service.
"I keep five cats, I'm very happy and helped by a free vaccination service like this. Usually, a rabies vaccination at a pet shop costs Rp 200,000," he uttered.
The service received appreciation from a resident at RT 05/01, Papanggo Urban Village, Tri Rahayu Widianto (24). She felt very good about vaccinations and animal health checks.
"This vaccination is important for animal and human health. Hopefully, activities like this will be held often every year," he stated.
