Dangerous, Two Campaign Attributes in Kampung Melayu Removed

The Sub-district and urban village Bawaslu personnel, removed two campaign attributes or props (called APK) in the form of billboards measuring 4x2 meters on Jalan Jatinegara Barat, RW 03, Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Monday (1/22).

We removed them because the condition was dangerous

Jatinegara Sub-district Committee Public Relations Head, Zaenuddin said the two billboards were tilted and almost collapsed when they were blown by the strong winds. If they were ignored, it would collapse on motorists and pedestrians.

"We removed them because the condition was dangerous," he expressed.

He admitted the operation against campaign attributes in his region had yet to be done, as political party representatives had asked for more times for three more days.

"We give them time to remove their atrributes. However, if they ignore it, we will take a firm stance," he concluded.

Jatinegara Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Teguh added the campaign attributes would be removed on Wednesday (1/24).

It would involve Bawaslu, KPU, Babinsa, Bimaspol, representatives of political parties, legislative councils, and presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"This aims to create public order," he concluded.
