This Year, Loksem on Tidung Island Realized

The Seribu Islands Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Sub-agency (PPKUKM) is about to soon build a temporary location (Loksem) on Tidung Island, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands Sub-district.

This is targeted for completion in the first semester of 2024

Seribu Islands PPKUKM Sub-agency Headm Bangun Richard said Loksem would be built measuring around 33 meters long and 11 meters wide on the ex-land of the Tidung Island Village Community Resilience Institute (LKMD) building.

"It is to follow up on residents' aspirations from last year's Musrenbang," he expressed, Friday (2/2).

On January 6, he explained, a survey would be conducted with the related agencies at the location of the Loksem development plan.

"This is targeted for completion in the first semester of 2024. There will be around ten kiosks at the Loksem," he explained.

Seribu Islands Economy and Development Division Head, Endro Mukti Wibowo added the Loksem development could increase the community's economy.

"It can become a center for selling souvenirs typical of the Seribu Islands, both culinary and souvenirs that can attract tourists," he explained.

The plan above received appreciation from Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Hafsah.

"We welcome it. It can be seen that Tidung Island is still one of the favorite tourist destinations in the Seribu Islands. Hopefully, it can boost the residents' welfare here," he said.
