Illegal, 50 Kiosks on Jalan Kalibaru Timur Demolished

To anticipate street vendors, we deploy 25 personnel from sub-district and urban village to the field

Satpol PP officers demolished as many as 50 stalls of street vendors (PKL) along Jalan Kalibaru Timur, Bungur Urban Village, Senen, Central Jakarta due to standing on water channel and sidewalk, Wednesday night (4/8). 

Demolition in Cipinang Riverbank Went Chaotic

The demolition which involved 50 personnel of Satpol PP and helped by dozens of local citizens went conducive. They tore down those stalls by using manual tools. Then the debris were put on the truck owned by Cleanliness Department. Afterwards it was transported to shed of Satpol PP in Cakung, East Jakarta to be destroyed. 

Bungur Urban Village Head, Achmad Nurulfalah stated, the demolition were conducted at night. Considering, the street vendors open their stall from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM. 

Nurulfalah claimed his party had warned those vendor to tear down their own stall yet they ignored it. The demolition itself was a suggestion of the local citizens. 

"To prevent the street vendors back to occupy the location, we assign around 25 officers from sub-district and urban village," he disclosed.
