Two Weeks, Repair of Channels on Jalan Pluit Sakti 1 Completed

The Penjarinhan Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit (SDA), North Jakarta, repairs the damaged channel on Jalan Pluit Sakti 1, RW 07, Pluit Urban Village. It is targeted for completion im two weeks.
The channel being repaired is 24 meters long
Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pendi said the repair is a follow-up to the aspirations of residents who conveyed that there were a collapsed sheet pile which caused the channel not function optimally.
"The channel being repaired is 24 meters long, 1.8 meters deep, and 20 centimeters wide," he expressed, Friday (2/16).

"It has been started from February 5 and is targeted to be completed on February 26," he explained.
According to him, the work began by dismantling the old sheet pile construction and digging to the same depth. Then, a new sheet pile was made whose position was adjusted to the damaged old sheet pile.
"This work is done manually with simple tools, the current progress is almost 50 percent. The channel will later be connected to the existing connecting channel on the side of the road," he explained.
Pluit Urban Village Head, Achmad Faizal hoped that the completion of these repairs could optimize the channel's function to prevent inundation or flooding. Moreover, it is currently the rainy season.
"Through increasing the capacity of the channel and allowing water to flow smoothly, hopefully, there will be no puddles in the surrounding area, even though heavy rain is pouring down," he stated.
