Seribu Islands ASN Educated on Office Occupational Health and Safety

Some 70 state civil apparatuses (ASN) under the Seribu Islands Regency administration, participated in the Bincang Asik Seminar entitled "Office Occupational Safety and Health (K3)" in the Penyu Room, Mitra Praja Building, Sunter, North Jakarta, Monday (2/19).
K3 is very important to apply at work
Seribu Islands Regent, Junaedi said the seminar was held to commemorate Bulan K3, which falls every January 12.
"K3 is very important to apply at work. Hopefully, this activity can create a safe and healthy workplace environment in Seribu Islands," he expressed.
Heru - ASN Holds Coordination Meeting to Discuss Evaluation and Work Plan 2024He explained K3 activities are an effort to encourage active participation by workers, entrepreneurs and other community groups in implementing K3 in every work activity, as well as making K3 as a basic need in order to increase work productivity.
He added the K3 targets to be achieved were, reducing the rate of work accidents and work-related diseases, creating a safe, comfortable, and efficient workplace to encourage productivity and realizing the independence of a society with an K3 culture.
"The most important thing is K3 can be implemented by ASN and we must develop it together. So, awareness about safety is truly present," he added.
Seribu Islands Manpower, Energy and Transmigration Sub-agency Head, Zahrul Wildan explained Bulan K3 in Indonesia was determined based on Manpower Minister's Decree Number: Kep-245/Men/1990 on National Occupational Safety and Health Day. Indonesia is a country that pays attention to the importance of K3 in every job.
It was also followed with Germas campaign and K3 implementation including group exercise, health checks, Germas counseling, and eating fruit together.
"It will be held on February 24. Bulan K3 activity is a commitment to implementing K3 in the Seribu Islands Regency area," he explained.
Hopefully, all stakeholders would coordinate, synergize and collaborate in a bid to increase K3 independence to create a safe and comfortable workplace without work accidents.
"K3 in the ASN work environment is also an effort to prepare Jakarta to become a Global City. Hope, K3 in the workplace will continue to be implemented well," he stated.
