Sheet Pile Bocor Kali Mookervart Pesing Diperbaiki

Damaged Sheet Pile at Mookevart River Being Repaired

The West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) is repairing the damaged Mookervart River Sheet Pile near the Pesing Bridge, RT 11/02, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Urban Village.

It is targeted for completion for two days ahead

West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency Head, Purwanti said two repairs were conducted at the location, namely covering 15 leaking points with sand and cement mortar and making a five-meter-long foundation with a height of 1.5 meters and a thickness of 50 centimeters near the water sluice gate to prevent water from entering residents' homes.

"It is done at the request of residents because the water often enters their settlement through sheet piles that are not tight enough and leak when the river water is high," she expressed, Monday (2/26).

She explained it has been ongoing since three days ago by sending 15 personnel to the site.

"It is targeted for completion for two days ahead," she stated.

The repair received appreciation from RW 02 Chairman, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Syaiful. He stated, the damage to the sheet pile was the cause of the inundation taking a long time to recede during heavy rain with prolonged intensity.

"By repairing the sheet pile, it is hoped that water from the Mookervart River will no longer enter residents' homes. Even, if there is inundation, the water will recede quickly," he stated.
