2,000 Cheap Staple Food Packages Distributed to West Jakarta

West Jakarta Metro Resort Police together with West Jakarta Administration distributed 2,000 cheap staple food assistance from Jakarta Provincial Government. The distribution was held at West Jakarta Resort Police office, Jalan Daan Mogot, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, Wednesday (2/28).

West Jakarta Resort Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner M Syahdudi, admitted the packages were distributed from 8 AM to 12 PM.

The packages consisted five kilograms of rice, two liters of cooking oil, one kilogram of sugar, and one kilogram of flour. One package was sold Rp 100,000.

Jakarta Provincial Government Makes Sure Cheap Market Fulfills Resident Needs

"The program was focused on residents living around our office," he said.

West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto, thanked the West Jakarta Forkopimda's support in cheap staple food market.

"It is hoped the program can lighten residents burden," he stated.

Feri Hamzah (54), resident of RT 02/07, Jelambar Urban Village, appreciated the program initiated by Jakarta Provincial Government through cooperation of West Jakarta Administration and West Jakarta Resort Police.

"The program surely help us in fulfilling our needs," he admitted.
