Cheap Staple Food Programs Held in Two Sub-districts

Hundreds of resident from two sub-districts in West Jakarta flocked the cheap staple food market initiated by Jakarta Provincial Government, Monday (2/26). Today, the programs were held at Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Office and Tanjung Duren Urban Selatan Village Office, Grogol Petamburan Sub-district.

Since morning, the residents were queuing to get cheap staple food package sold Rp 100,000. The package consisted five kilograms of rice, two liters of cooking oil, one kilogram of sugar, and one kilogram of flour.
Not only staple food package, the residents were able to buy animal protein products such as fish, egg, chicken, and meat.

"The package is sold cheaper compared to the market," she said.
She hoped similar program can be held routinely to lighten the resident burden.
"We hope the program can be held routinely with various products," she hoped.
Meanwhile, Inu Anugraha (60), resident of RT 01/02, Tanjung Duren Selatan, Grogol Petamburan, stated the program held by Jakarta Provincial Government is already good amid the skyrocketing staple food price.
"I am happy to buy the package in cheap market held at Tanjung Duren Selatan Urban Village Office," he stated.
He appealed similar program can be held ahead of fasting month.
