Jakarta Provincial Government Makes Sure Cheap Market Fulfills Resident NeedsHeru assessed that this program is Jakarta Provincial Government's effort to make sure all residents get cheap staple food. Thus, a sense of justice and equality is maintained, without any commotion due to concerns about stocks of basic commodities running low.
"We'll keep hold the program until two months or ahead of Lebaran. The program should anticipate price fluctuation ahead of fasting month also," he added.
Meanwhile, Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati, explained the program has been held at 69 places up to today. The were 1,818 chickens, 313 packages of meat, and 925 packages of processed chicken sold in the program.
"Up to today, we have run the program by 45 days. The program keeps attracting the residents to buy staple food in the program," she explained.
According to her, the program will not run successfully if Jakarta Provincial Government does not cooperate with stakeholders. That is why she asks stakeholders to be more actively participate to lighte
