One-way System Imposed in Santa Market Area

South Jakarta Administration applies a one-way system trial in Santa Market area, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/15). It is applied to parse traffic congestion due to flyover construction on the Transjakarta bus corridor XII (Ciledug-Tendean).

The system trial itself will take place three days, starting from Wednesday to Friday (4/17).

"We're always sending 24 personnel to guard and smoothen the trial every day. The one-way system is a request of local people due to congestion that often happens," said Head of South Jakarta Communication and Transportation Sub-Department, Priyanto. 

According to Priyanto, the one-way system will be applied in the morning and afternoon. In the morning, it will start at 7-10 AM and afternoon at 4-7 AM. Its trial is started from Jalan Cipaku 1-Jalan Cipaku Raya-Cisanggiri 1 and 2. 

He explains, Jalan Cipaku Raya as wide as 6-7 meters with its capacity ration of 1,500 per hour, if it is not parsed there will be congestion towards Santa Market. 

He also appealed the Santa Market visitors do not park vehicle haphazardly as it is one of the causes of congestion.
