Satpol PP: 80 Bottles of Liquor Seized in Koja

The Koja Sub-district Satpol PP personnel, North Jakarta, confiscated 80 liquor bottles during a raid on Friday (3/15) last afternoon.

We send 25 personnel in the raid

Koja Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Roslely Tambunan said the 80 liquor bottles seized were from grocery stalls on Jalan Maja and Jalan Cendrawasih, Lagoa Urban Village, and Jalan Cikijang, Koja Urban Village.

"We send 25 personnel in the raid," he expressed, Saturday (3/16).

He explained the raid was held to create a sense of safety and comfort for residents during Ramadan worship.

"Also guides the community and business actors, thus they can support the comfort and solemnity of fasting. As well as, minimizing criminal acts and brawls triggered by liquor," he explained.

The raid went smoothly, as personnel always used humanist and persuasive methods, so there was no resistance from traders.

"We will send this liquor to the North Jakarta Satpol PP," he added.

Koja Sub-district Head, Rizal Khadafi, supported the Satpol PP's action and called on residents to report if they see liquor sellers in their area, so personnel can immediately take action.

"We encourage and urge the public to help maintain environmental safety, as well as fill this fasting month with activities that have religious value," he stated.
