Floating Pump Deployed to Handle Inundation on Jalan Mangga

Koja Sub-district's Water Resource Personnel, North Jakarta quickly responded the inundation on Jalan Mangga, RW 10, Tugu Utara Urban Village by deploying one floating pump.

Koja Sub-district's Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Slamet Riyanto, said heavy rain poured at dawn has made several roads in Koja inundated, especially on Jalan Mangga and Jalan Kramat.

"The height is about 30 to 40 centimeter. Now personnel is still handling it," he said, Friday (3/22).

According to him, as many as five personnel with one floating pump are deployed to handle inundation on Jalan Mangga. The floating pump capacity is 50 liters/second.

"The water is being pumped to Melur channel. It is hoped the inundation will recede fast," he added.

Meanwhile, Tugu Utara Urban Village Head, Sigit Riyanto, explained PPSU personnel were already deployed to assist Water Resource personnel.

"The inundation happened at 5 AM. Hopefully it will recede quickly," he hoped.
