East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Acting Head, Abdul Salam said as many as 400 boxes of packaged rice meals and mineral water were distributed to flood survivors due to the overflowing waters of the Ciliwung River in the Kampung Melayu Urban Village area, Jatinegara. Then 350 boxes were for residents in the Bidara Cina Urban Village area, Jatinegara.
"We provide this assistance for their fast-breaking needs," he expressed, Tuesday (3/26).
To Overcome Flooding, City Deploys Personnel and PumpsSocial Security Protection and Rehabilitation Section Head, Deni Triyanto added the meal assistance was provided after he received a request from the urban village office.
As for flood survivors in the Cawang Urban Village area, Kramat Jati, his party provided the assistance in the form of 200 bags of 5 kg rice, 200 boxes of instant noodles, 400 packs of biscuits, 600 cans of sardines, 200 packs of sweet soy sauce, and 50 boxes of mineral water.
"Especially for Cawang Urban Village, they do not apply for packaged rice meals assistance, so they are only given in kind," he concluded.
