Ramadan, Tanah Abang Market Block B Visitors Hit 54,000

Visitors to Tanah Abang Market Block B, last Sunday (3/31), were recorded at 54,827 people. This figure is the highest during Ramadan this year.

We ensure that the number of visits continues to increase

Perumda Pasar Jaya Public Relations Manager, Agus Lamun stated the number of visitors had risen compared to last year, which was only around 40,000 people. He was also optimistic that visitors would continue to increase before Idul Fitri.

"We ensure that the number of visits continues to increase," he assertes, Monday (4/1).

100 Joint Personnel Guard Tanah Abang Area

This figure of more than 54,000 visitors was recorded based on four data collections conducted by his party during last Sunday (3/31). In the first data collection at 9 AM, there were 11,198 visitors recorded.

Then, in the second data collection at 11 AM, there were 16,388 visitors,  15,218 at 1 PM, and 12,023 at 4 PM

"We can't yet confirm whether the peak visitation is this week," he explained.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma admitted as many as 100 joint personnel of Satpol PP and Transportation Sub-agency assisted by national army (TNI) and police, to parse traffic jams due to increased economic activity at Tanah Abang Market.

"The important thing is that our economy continues to grow but does not cause chaos," he stated.
