Visitors to Rawa Bening Market, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, have increased during Ramadan compared to normal days.

Rawa Bening Market Head, Ahmad Subhan stated that during the week of Ramadan, every day, around 200 to 250 people visit this iconic market which sells various gemstones and heirlooms. But, on normal days, there are only 100 to 150 people.
"Even though it's not yet very significant, there is already starting to be an improvement," he expressed.

As for the price of ring stones in the market is quite varied, starting from Rp 300,000 to Rp 150 million. Meanwhile, ring washing services range from Rp 25,000 to Rp 50,000.

Klender Resident, Babay (54), who was met during a visit to Rawa Bening Market, admitted that he wanted to buy a gemstone ring from Garut to add to his collection.
"I really like genuine Garut agate, because of its distinctive color," he admitted.
