She added the intensification of supervision that has been carried out up to the fourth stage has carried out inspections of 52 and 20 facilities that do not comply with the regulations.
"Meanwhile, total product were 176 items, 68,835 pcs, with details of 166 items without distribution permits (TIE); seven items expired and three items were damaged. The total economic value of the findings was Rp 607.18 million," she added.
She continued that products found without distribution permits included spices, biscuits, snacks, candy and chocolate, most of which came from China and India. Furthermore, the expired products found were snack products and processed meat. The findings from food intensification this year have increased compared to 2023 in the number of facilities that do not meet the provisions.
"The results of the intensification of supervision until the end of 2023 were around 14.81 percent of the findings of facilities that did not meet the provisions, while the intensification of supervision in phase 4 in 2024 has reached 38.46 percent of the findings of facilities that did not meet the provisions," she continued.
Her side also held Takjil supervision in nine locations spread across five regions. The results of takjil monitoring recorded that five of the 159 samples tested did not meet the requirements, namely Pacar Cina(Positive for containing Rhodamine B), Yellow Noodles (Positive for containing Formalin), Yellow Tofu (Positive for containing Formalin), White Tofu (Positive for containing Formalin), Red Sweet Cake (Positive for Rhodamine B).
"Intensification of Food Control is not over yet. We will still carry out two more stages until after Eid al-Fitr 2024," she closed.
