Heru Calls on Jakarta Residents to Anticipate DHF CasesHe explained the school was chosen to be the main focus of fogging today because it is a place of activity for children who are vulnerable to disease from Aedes Aegypti mosquito bites.
"We target all school areas such as classrooms, teachers' rooms, parks, toilets, and courtyards," he explained.
He also intensified Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) activities in order to realize one independent Jumantik cadre in every house.
"I want residents to be responsible for preventing or controlling dengue fever in their environment, thus the dengue fever rate can drop significantly in South Jakarta," he uttered.
The fogging action received appreciation from Cipete Utara Urban Village Head, Supriyanto.
"At the same time, socialization was also done to residents about dengue prevention, including the practice of making mosquito traps or flytraps," he stated.
As for the number of dengue fever cases in Cipete Utara Urban Village from the results of data collection in March 2024 had reached 70 cases.
"Until now, we continue to carry out efforts to prevent dengue cases, starting from socialization to PSN," he stated.
