North Jakarta KPKP Sterilize 125 Cats at 4 Sub-districts

North Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Sub-agency Head, Unang Rustanto, said the implementation of cat sterilization is in synergy with private clinics and the Indonesian Veterinary Doctors Association (PDHI).

Three Months, 572 Cats in West Jakarta Sterilized

"This free mobile service is held at Koja Sub-district, Pademangan, Kelapa Gading, and Tanjung Priok," he said, Friday (4/26).

He added that the sterilization held at Koja Sub-district was centered at Budi Mulia RPTRA with total 35 cats, and at Koja Sub-district at Amanah RPTRA by 30 cats.

"At Tanjug Priok was held held at RW 10 Post, Sunter Jaya Urban Village by 40 cats, and Kelapa Gading at RW 06 Post, Kelapa Gading Urban Village by 20 cats," he added.

According to him, the sterilization carried out to control the cat population involved five veterinarians and assistants.

"Hopefully this activity will be useful for pet owners and the cat population can be controlled," he continued.

Meanwhile, RW 10 caretaker, Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Budi (49), stated cat population in his area is high.

"This sterilization program is good. Hopefully there will be no more neglected wild cats. Thanks to KPKP Sub-agency and related units for providing this program," he explained.
