Jakarta Labschool Student, Azzam Got Accepted into Six US Universities

The world of education in Jakarta has once again made encouraging achievements. This time, the encouraging news came from a student at Labschool Jakarta High School, Ahmad Azzam Muhammad who was successfully accepted into six top universities in the United States.

He is able to compete with students from other countries to study at Rutgers University New Brunswick, University of Wisconsin, UC Davis, The Ohio State University Columbus, Purdue University West Lafayette, and University of Maryland College Park.

Those six universities are public and private universities in the United States that have world standard educational quality. Then, they have sophisticated educational facilities with a row of professors who have high credibility in the world of international education.

SMA Labschool Jakarta Principal, Suparno Sastro said Azzam's success in being accepted at six universities in the United States is certainly a source of pride and an indicator of the success of the educational process carried out at school.

"I really appreciate his achievements. I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers and instructors from Labschool Jakarta Middle and High Schools who are highly qualified, competent, and have a global perspective," he expressed, Tuesday (5/7).

He explained he managed to get a score of 7.5 on his official IELTS test at the British Council Indonesia in July 2023 and was supported by good essay writing skills.

"His journey to achieve this scholarship was done in a preparation program for studying abroad," he explained.

According to him, the younger generation's interest in continuing their studies abroad was increasing, and the opportunities to get available scholarships were becoming more diverse.

"This is an opportunity for Indonesia to produce and use an educated generation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045," he concluded.

Even, the school really supports students who decide to continue their studies abroad by helping prepare the necessary documents such as letters of recommendation, report cards, school profile documents, diplomas, the process of sending documents electronically and non-electronically.

"Hopefully, he can be successful with good academic achievements and will later be able to provide benefits to the Indonesian nation," he hoped.

In the meantime, Azzam uttered the decision to continue studying in the United States was his dream and proved that the quality of students from Indonesia was also very good.

"I want to prove that the quality of students from Indonesia can also compete," he stressed.

He expressed his appreciation and thanks to both parents and the school who gave great support to achieve his goals.
