Seribu Island PKK Donates Writing and Reading Books

Seribu Island PKK Vice Chairwoman II, Lusyian Eric said the book distribution is aimed to commemorate National Education Day and motivate children to read books.

Fun Literacy Participated by 78 Students

"Children nowadays are close to their gadget compared to reading a book. It is hoped this assistance will gain their motivation in reading books," she said, Wednesday (5/8).

Lusyian added the program also held storytelling with Kak Deni who is Seribu Island Reading Ambassador.

"The children are enthusiast with the program. Hopefully it will grow their motivation in reading and learning," she added.

According to him, the assistance was not only disbursed to MIN 17 B Campus of Panggang Island, but also to SDN 01, 02, and 03 on Pramuka Island.

Meanwhile, MIN 17 Campus B of Panggang Island Coordinator, Abdul Halim, thanked Seribu Island PKK for giving the assistance.

"These books are very useful for improving literacy. I hope that this assistance can be sustainable so that the students here will become smarter and love reading," he stated.
