Jakarta Provincial Government through Education Agency is committed to provide quality educational services to all students evenly and completely, through the New Student Admissions (PPDB) process for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Acting Jakarta Education Agency Head, Budi Awaluddin, said Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to implementing the PPDB mechanism objectively, transparently and accountably in accordance with Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 15 of 2024 concerning Admission of New Students.
"Provisions for Prospective New Students (CPDB) who can take part in PPDB are residents of Jakarta as proven by a Family Card, and domiciled in Jakarta no later than June 10, 2023," he said.

Admission for State Early Childhood (SPAUDN), Learning Activity Studio (SKB), and State Extraordinary School, will be run online/offline on June 10-July 30, 2024.
Total capacity for elementary school is 95,677 students; junior high school is 71,093 students with estimation of prospective new students by 151,164 and capacity percentage is 47,03%; senior high school; 29,559 students; vocational high school 20,130 students with prospective new students estimation by 139,841 with capacity percentage 35.53%.
With the limitation of state school capacity, Education Agency continued Joint PPDB in previous year by involving private sides. This year, Joint PPDB is involving 121 private senior high schools with students capacity 2,671; 147 private vocational high school with student capacity 4,024. Starting this year, the agency involving 138 private junior high schools with 1,731 students capacity.
Budi hopes that prospective students will not have any worries when completing the registration process. Hopefully students can also calmly and with joy fight for their rights to obtain education in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Head of the Education Quality Assurance Center (BPMP) Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), Muhammad Salim Somad, stated PPBD runs by Jakarta Provincial Government is already in accordance with Education Minister Regulation No 1/2021 about PPDB for Kindergarten, Elementary School, Junior High School, Senior High School, and Vocational High School. Apart from that, Jakarta is also able to become a role model in organizing PPDB. This can be seen with clear and transparent schemes and scheduling, so that prospective students can access information easily, both offline and online.
"Seeing directly the PPDB in Jakarta from year to year is in accordance with Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 1 of 2021. The implementation of PPDB through Zoning, Affirmation, Achievement and Transfer of Parental Tasks (PTO) is in accordance with the regulations. We always follow and help regarding PPDB in Jakarta. So, the PPDB held can become a role model. Hopefully PPDB in Jakarta this year will run smoothly," he hoped.

1. Via Achievement: Providing appreciation to students who have demonstrated academic and non-academic achievements;
2. Via Affirmation: Providing greater opportunities for students from disadvantaged families to access quality education;
3. Zoning: Provides opportunities for students who live in a zoning area that has been determined with the principle of bringing students closer to the school and paying attention to the distribution of schools, data on the domicile distribution of prospective students, and school capacity;
4. Via Transfer of Duties of Parents/Guardians and/or Via Children of Teachers/Education Personnel: Provides priority opportunities for children from families whose parents have changed assignments, then for children of teachers/education personnel who wish to go to school where their parents work.
