Ahead of Eid ul Adha 1445 H/2024, West Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency keeps intensifying cattle check. The activity is aimed to make sure the cattle's health that will be used as sacrificial animal.

16 locations at eight sub-districts in West Jakarta

West Jakarta Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency Head, Novy C Palit, admitted her side has checked 1,293 cattle at eight sub-districts. In details are 1,022 cows, 21 buffaloes, 240 goats, and 10 lambs.

"Our personnel checked those cattle at 16 locations at eight sub-districts in West Jakarta," Novy said, Wednesday (5/29).

She added examination of sacrificial animals includes the health of their nails, body, mouth, tongue, etc., including the cleanliness and suitability of the shelter.

Apart from that, her party also checked and examined the health certificates of sacrificial animals from the area of ​​origin to anticipate sacrificial animals diseases.

"The activity will still be held up to Eid ul Adha day and the days after it," she stated.
