50 Residents Participate Waste Management Socialization in Karet Tengsin

According to Martua, apart from providing information about regulations, this outreach is also an effort to increase residents' awareness of managing waste from home.

Martua hopes that through this socialization, the percentage of waste management in the household will continue to increase.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi, stated the percentage of households sorting waste in the Tanah Abang Sub-district area is currently only around 23 percent.

He requests BPS RW to be more massively attracting residents to sorting waste in order to decrease waste volume transported to Bantar Gebang Dump Site, Bekasi.

"I hope every house is able to sorting waste," he stated.
