Fire Breaks Out at Six Kiosks and Two Cars in Cibubur

A fire broke out today at six kiosks and two pick-up cars located on Jalan Lapangan Tembak, RT 02/11 Cibubur, Ciracas, East Jakarta, at around 4.44 AM.

No fatalities and casualties in the incident

According to him, the Ciracas Sub-district Sector Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) personnel, the fire first came out from a kiosk selling fried bananas. Instantly, it grew and spread to other kiosks and two pick-up cars parked at the scene.

"Temporary allegation, it was caused by an electrical short circuit," he expressed, Tuesday (6/4).

No Casualties in Two Fire Incidents in Cipayung

To put out the flames, as many as 11 fire engines and 44 firefighters were immediately sent to the scene and they managed to control it for more than one hour.

"No fatalities and casualties in the incident. For further investigation, we put the police line there," he explained.

Cibubur Urban Village's Economy and Development Section Head, Heru Kristianto added the kiosks that caught fire were a temporary location (Loksem) for street vendors gathered in JT 46.

Those street vendors are under the East Jakarta PPKUKM Sub-agency. To help put out fires, he deployed eight members of PPSU to the location.

"We'll help to clean up the remaining fire debris after the police line is removed. Our principal is to help the community, moreover, the fire location is local government land," he concluded.
