Fire Burns a Shophouse in North Jakarta

A fire struck a shophouse located on Jalan Rumbia V, RT 04/02, Tugu Utara Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, North Jakarta, Wednesday (6/5).
The fire came out from the second floor of the building
North Jakarta and Seribu Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) Head, Sugiman stated the fire occurred at 3.37 AM. To put out the flames, as many as 15 firefighters and three fire engines were deployed to the scene and managed to control the situation within 10 minutes.
"The fire came out from the second floor of the building and continued with the cooling process," he expressed.

"No casualties and fatalities in the incident," he added.
The action received appreciation from the shophouse owner, Lala (45).
"I woke up and saw that there was a lot of smoke on the second floor. I immediately contacted firefighters, and the team didn't wait long to arrive at the location," he said.
